HOW TO DEVELOP HABITS_ATOMIC HABITS(PART-1)

This book is written by James clear.

Important points you should know in these are:

1.WHY SMALL CHANGES MAKE A BIG DIFFRENCE?

Imagine going to gym daily for 30 min, you will be making a little progress in your day and maybe its as little as 1 percent.

Here is the author analysis on this perspective

           1% BETTER EVERY DAY

1% worse every day for one year. (0.99)^365 = 00.03

1% better every day for one year. (1.01)^365 = 37.78

2.WHAT PROGRESS IS REALLY LIKE

Lets take the last example that you going to gym. You can't expect to get abs just to next day you go to gym, it takes constant effort.
Here author takes an example of ice cube sitting on a table in front of you. The room is cold and you can see your breath. if current temperature is 25 degrees, the room begins to heat up.
slowly 26, 27, 28 but still it doesn't melt, 29, 30, 31 still nothing has happened. Then, 32 ice begins to melt
Like wise, you are going to gym daily but you don't see any progress in 2 weeks, and fail to see small amount of result and you decide to stop. But in order to make a meaningful difference, habits need to persist long enough time to break this plateau  that is plateau of latent potential

3.THE PLATEAU OF LATENT POTENTIAL

We often expect progress to be linear. At the very least, we hope it will come quickly. In reality, the results of our efforts are often delayed. It is not until months or years later that we realize the true value of the previous work we have done. This can result in a "valley of disappointment" where people feel discouraged after putting in weeks or months of hardwork without experiencing any results. However, this work was not wasted. It was simply being stored. it is not until much later that the full value of previous efforts is revealed

These are some important points you should understand before you start a habit and to make is persistent and you daily life habit, follow these.
